Installer pro terms

American Share Market is a referral platform. ASM is not a party to the job and does not warranty the work.

American Share Market connects you with a checked local installer. You and the installer agree on the price directly. ASM doesn't do the work, quote the job or take any of your payment.

• Installers are independent. ASM does not employ them.
• They are not an ASM sales force.
• There are no required hours, no required acceptance rate, no uniform, and no sign.
• Declining a request is allowed and is not penalized.
• Installers carry their own insurance and licenses.
• ASM only charges the flat fee when an installer accepts a request. It is never a percent of the job.
• Installers keep 100% of the job price. The homeowner pays the installer directly.
• Installers may not resell or share leads.
• Installers agree to cover ASM for claims that come from their own work, as described in the installer agreement.

This keeps ASM outside the contractor definition in Virginia Code § 54.1-1100.
