American Share Market — Courier Agreement
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This Courier Agreement is part of the American Share Market Terms of Service. It applies to anyone who runs delivery routes, backhaul trips, or pickup runs through ASM ("Courier," "you"). "ASM" means American Share Market.
1. You run your own business
- You are an independent business, not an employee, agent, or partner of ASM. Nothing in this agreement creates employment.
- You decide whether to drive, which routes to create, which days and areas, your stops and their order, and whether to accept any order. You can pause or stop at any time, and you never have to accept a minimum number of routes or orders.
- You set your own delivery fee for each route. ASM may show a suggested fee as a tool only.
- You use your own vehicle, phone, fuel, coolers, and equipment and pay your own costs.
- You may deliver for anyone else, including other apps and companies, at the same time.
- ASM doesn't train, supervise, or direct how you drive or deliver, and doesn't require uniforms, signs, or set hours. Our checklists (pickup check-off, cold-chain check box, drop-off photo) are safety and proof-of-delivery tools that you and your customers rely on; they don't give ASM control of how you do your work.
- You may hire helpers or substitutes who meet the same safety requirements, at your own cost and responsibility.
2. Requirements
- 18 or older, with a valid driver's license for your vehicle.
- Your own auto insurance that meets your state's minimums. Many personal auto policies do not cover deliveries for pay. Check with your insurer and get a delivery or commercial endorsement if you need one. ASM does not provide insurance for you, your vehicle, or the goods.
- Follow all traffic, vehicle, and safety laws. If a load or vehicle needs a commercial license, USDOT number, or permit, that's your responsibility.
- Completed Stripe "Get paid" setup.
3. Money
- You keep 100% of your delivery fee and 100% of tips to you.
- Payments go to your own Stripe account. A delivery's payout is released after delivery is confirmed (drop-off photo plus the buyer's "Got it," or 48 hours after the photo if the buyer doesn't respond or dispute).
- ASM may in the future charge an optional, flat route fee only if we tell you the amount in advance and you agree; it is off by default.
- You're responsible for your own taxes. Stripe may send you a Form 1099-K when the law requires.
4. Food and cold items
- Never carry food across state lines for an ASM order. ASM blocks cross-state food deliveries; if one slips through, don't deliver it and tell us.
- Carry cold or frozen items only if you have a working cooler or refrigerated vehicle, and keep them cold or frozen.
- Keep food away from fuel, chemicals, animals, and anything that could contaminate it.
5. Conduct
- Be honest, safe, and respectful. Don't open, use, or keep anyone's goods.
- Don't carry anything on the Prohibited Items list, or anything you believe is illegal or unsafe; use "Can't deliver" instead.
- Protect customers' addresses and information; use them only for the delivery.
- Report accidents, damage, or safety problems to the customer and to ASM promptly.
6. Responsibility
- You're responsible for loss or damage caused by your own negligence while goods are in your care, and for your driving.
- You agree to cover ASM's reasonable costs from claims caused by your deliveries, driving, or breaking this agreement or the law, as described in the Terms.
7. Ending
Either of us may end this agreement at any time. ASM may suspend or remove couriers for safety reasons, fraud, repeated failed deliveries, or breaking the rules, and will tell you why when it's safe and legal to do so. You can reply to appeal.
