For buyers

SearchAmerican Share Market is a free marketplace for American farms and every kind of ag business. Sellers keep 100%. Here's how everything works.
For buyers
Search by food, farm, or state. You can also browse categories, the map, or a state's list. Empty lists say nobody is there yet.
SearchFor buyers
The food finder map and each stand's state help you see what is near you. Only real stands are shown.
Open the mapFor buyers
You pay the seller. The seller gets the full item price. If card pay is not on for that stand, you message the seller or use their own pay link.
Shop the marketFor buyers
A tip that supports the site is not part of checkout yet. The tip on the cart, if you add one, goes to the seller, not to us. It is never required.
For buyers
Some stands show buttons the seller filled in, such as a tip or a shop link. That money goes straight to the seller. We take nothing. If a stand has no buttons, nothing is shown.
See standsFor anyone who wants to help the site
A voluntary monthly plan can support the site. It shows only when that link is turned on. It is never required, and it is not a gift to a farm.
How we pay the billsFor buyers
When a real group buy is open, you can join it. If none are open, the page does not invent one.
Group buysFor buyers
A seller can say they take WIC or Senior market benefits. That is self-reported. Ask at pickup. The badge does not change search order.
Search standsFor buyers
A food listing can show a Contains list the seller checked. It may not list every allergen. Ask the seller.
Allergen guideFor buyers
A month-by-month crop list, plus short recipes, is free to read. Crop lists link to real stands only when those stands exist.
What's in seasonFor buyers
Each seller sets pickup, and delivery when they offer it. Food is not shipped out of the seller's state.
State rulesFor farms and ag businesses
Every kind of ag business can open a stand, including energy and green tech. The stand is free. You keep 100%. Your type never changes your place in search.
Open your free standFor a business already in the directory
If your name is already listed, claim it. Until you claim it, it stays a directory card, not your stand.
DirectoryFor sellers
On your stand you can add a tip link, a monthly link, a merch or art link, and a gift link. Each must be an https link you own. The money goes to you. We never touch it.
Edit a standFor sellers who are approved
Check the boxes only if you are approved. Buyers see 'Seller says they're approved. Ask at pickup.' The guide links to official pages.
Approval guideFor food sellers
You can check what a food contains. Buyers are told the list may not be complete. The written guide follows FDA's nine major allergens and is not legal advice.
Label guideFor sellers
Guides and recipes are free. The grants page links only to official grant pages. Farms and job seekers post jobs free. An empty list says nobody is there yet.
GuidesFor sellers
A group buy is optional. It does not change your rank. If you have none, nothing is shown.
Group buysFor sellers who want extra help
Logo, sign, marketing help, a printed QR kit, and a farm portrait are optional and paid. They never change where your farm shows up, and listing stays free.

Home-made and cottage food stays in your state and follows your state's rules. The site does not give legal advice.
State rulesFor someone opening a business
A free checklist covers a name, a simple business type, state registration, a free IRS tax ID, local rules, and your first stand. It is general info, not legal or tax advice. We never collect an ID number.

You can add a short note so farms can email you. There is no fundraising on this site.

GrantsFor anyone sharing seed
List seed to share or swap. It is free. Nothing is sold here. If the list is empty, it says no seeds are shared yet.
Seed bankFor keepers
Each variety can have a public record: plant, place, and notes. No personal info. The vault is a community network of growers, not a building. Nothing in the vault is sold.
Seed vaultFor keepers
A Keeper grows a variety and saves seed, then logs a short year note. Counts are real. A variety with one keeper is marked at risk. None yet means no keeper yet.

You can mark that a backup packet went to a keeper in another state, only where state seed rules allow. The same seed notes apply.
Seed vaultFor keepers and readers
The storage guide is written and links to USDA and extension pages. State notes say seed sharing follows the rules where you live. Growing beyond Earth links only to NASA pages and makes no claim that a seed will leave Earth.
